Nigeria to earn $500m from cashew exports in 2023

Abuja, Jan. 25, 2023 -Dr Mohammed Abubakar, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said Nigeria projected to realise $500 million from cashew export in 2023. Nigeria generated $250 million from the export of cashew nuts in 2022. Cabotage Fund: FG gives banks 72 hours to draw up modalities

Lagos, Jan. 25, 2023 – The five primary lenders in the disbursement of the $350 million Caboge Fund have been given 72 hours to draw up modalities for the disbursement of the fund. Bashir Jamoh, the Director-general of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), gave the directive to the banks at a meeting in Lagos on Tuesday. FRSC in Lokoja returns N3.2m to accident victim

Lokoja, Jan. 25, 2023 -The Kogi Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Tuesday returned N3.2 million recovered from an accident scene to the family of the victim. Stamp Duty money is N370.686bn, not N89tn – Emefiele

Abuja, Jan. 24, 2023 – Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says the total revenue collected as stamp duty between 2016 and 2022 is N370.686 billion He said the money was not N89 trillion as claimed by Muhammed Kazaure, a member of the House of Representatives, in a petition to the president in 2022. Abuja, Jan. 24, 2024 – The number of Nigerians registered in the National Identification Number (NIN) scheme stood at 95.07 million as at Jan. 22, 2023.
