Naira stabilises at N1,421 to dollar

Lagos, Jan. 9, 2025 – The Nigerian currency, the Naira, remained stable at N1,421 to the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday; The currency had depreciated to N1,421 to the dollar on Wednesday from N1,416 on Tuesday. Bid rates quoted by dealers in the market on Thursday ranged from N1,418 to N1,422 to the dollar. Meanwhile, the naira is being traded at the black market in Lagos at between N1,485 and N1,495 to the dollar.
