CBN deadline may precipitate economic crisis -experts

159 Nigerians renounced citizenship in 2022

Lagos, Jan. 26, 2023 – At least 159 Nigerians renounced their citizenship in 2022. Dr Shuaib Belgore, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Interior, said this on Thursday at the 64th session of the State House Ministerial briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the Aso Rock Villa. According to Belgore, 150 Nigerians renounced their citizenship between 2006 and 2021, but 159 Nigerians renounced their citizenship in 2022 alone. (GBN)

Senate confirms Arase as Chairman, Police Service Commission
