Naira appreciates to N1,365 to dollar at official market

Lagos, April 30, 2026 – The Nigerian currency, the naira, appreciated slightly at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, closing at N1,365 to the dollar. The currency had appreciated from N1,383 to the dollar which it closed on Tuesday. Bid rates offered by dealers in the market on Wednesday ranged between N1,386 and N1,379.4605 to the dollar. Nigeria attains 1.71mbd crude oil production level, highest in 5 years

Abuja, April 29, 2029 – Nigeria has increased its oil production to 1.71 million barrels per day between April 2025 and April 2026. This is the highest oil production level recorded by the country in the last five years.
