Lagos, July 9, 2025 – Dangote Refinery has further reduced the price of its petrol from N840 per litre to N820 per litre .
Anthony Chiejina, the Chief Spokesman of Dangote group, announced this in a statement on Tuesday .
He said the price adjustment, which would take immediate effect, was due to the vagaries in the global oil market which had seen the crude oil price drop to between $68 and $70 per barrel depending on the grade.
The spokesman said the refinery’s partners like MRS, Heyden, Ardova (AP), Hyde, Optima, and Techno Oil were expected to reflect the new pricing at their retail outlets.
He said more independent marketers had joined the list of distributors due to the assurance of steady supply.
He listed some of the new partners TotalEnergies, Garima Petroleum, Sunbeth Energies, Sobaz Nigeria Ltd., Virgin Forest Energy, Sixxco Oil Ltd., N.U. Synergy Ltd., and Soroman Nigeria Ltd.
Others are Jezco Oil Nigeria Ltd., Jengre, Cocean, Kifayat, Triumph Golden, Sifem Global, Riquest, and Mamu Oil.
