Abuja, May 22, 2025 – The federal government has instituted a court action against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over alleged defamatory remarks made on live television interview.
The suit, with number CR/297/25, was filed before an Abuja high on May 16, 2025.
The details of the charges are still sketchy, but one borders on the allegations she made during a live broadcast on Channels Television’s Politics Today, on April 3, 2025.
Akpoti-Uduaghan was representing Kogi Central in the Senate until she was suspended from the chamber over allegations bordering on impropriety against the upper chamber.
She had made allegations of sexual harassment against Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, amongst others.
