Lagos, Oct. 3, 2025 – The Nigerian currency, Naira, appreciated further at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, closing at N1,464.85 to the dollar.
The exchange rate was N1,478.0000 to the dollar at the market on Wednesday.
Bid rates offered by dealers at the market on Thursday ranged between N1,445 and N1,464.85 to the dollar.
The currency has been appreciating steadily in the market in the last two weeks which analysts attribute largely to the country’s high external reserves and regular intervention in the market by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the naira exchange rate at the black market in Lagos on Thursday was between N1, 280 and N1,490 to the dollar.
