Lagos, July 9, 2025 – The Nigerian currency, Naira, depreciated further against the dollar at the official market on Tuesday, closing at N1,530 to the dollar.
It was N1,529 to the dollar on Monday.
The highest quoted rate in the market on Monday was N1,532.to the dollar, while the lowest was quoted rate N1,527 to the dollar..
The Naira has been sliding steadily against the dollar since last, week a situation dealers attributed to growing demand for dollar in the market.
The currency has also been depreciating against the dollar at the black market
It went down to between N1,560 and N1,565 to the dollar on Tuesday.
