NNPCL posts N2.57trn revenue in January 2026, lower than N4.82trn in December

Abuja, March 10, 2026 – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) recorded N2.57 trillion revenue in January 2026.

The figure represents a drop from N4.82 trillion recorded in December 2025.

The company also posted N385 billion profit after tax in January.

The NNPCL reported this in its January 2026 Monthly Report Summary released on Monday,

The report said the decline in revenue during the month was in spite of increased crude oil production level to 1.64 million barrels per day and increased natural gas output to 7.283 mmscf/d.

A breakdown of the production figures showed that crude oil accounted for 1.39 million bpd, while condensate accounted for 0.25 million bpd, bringing the combined total to 1.64 million bpd recorded for the period.

The report attributed the increased production level to the completion of maintenance work at the Agbami field as well as operational improvements in other upstream facilities.

“Production increased month-on-month following the completion of Turn Around Maintenance at Agbami and Renaissance (Estuary Area – EA),” it said.

The NNPCL, however, said operational challenges still affected crude delivery during the month.

“Despite the improved production profile, planned deliveries for January were reduced due to adverse weather conditions, evacuation constraints, and asset integrity challenges across some production corridor,” it said.
