Lagos, July 23, 2026 – Dangote Refinery has raised its ex-depot price of petrol to N1, 215 per litre from previous N1, 075 per litre.
The refinery has also reverted to sales of products in naira after one week of introducing dollar sales.
Operators agreed that the company’s reversion to naira sales will ease petrol supply and improve distribution of petroleum products across the country.
The new price has also led to higher prices of petrol across the country on Wednesday, according to a survey.
Official sources said the new price hike by Dangote Refinery is due to the renewed violence in the Middle East which had led to higher prices of crude oil at the global market.
According to Reuters, Brent crude is currently being sold at $96.27 per dollar, while the U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude climbed to $88.48 per dollar.
