Abuja, March 25, 2025 – Electricity Distribution Companies in Nigeria collected ₦509.84 billion revenue from customers from the ₦658.40 billion billing in the fourth quarter of 2024. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) disclosed this in its 2024 Fourth Quarter Report published on its website. The report said the revenue collection translated to a collection efficiency rate of 77.44 per cent. Abuja, March 7, 2025 – Nigeria’s electricity generation has reached a peaked of 5,801 megawatts (MWh) and a maximum daily energy generation of 128,370.75 megawatt-hours (MWh) The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. It said this would be the highest level ever attained in power generation in Nigeria. TCN said the feat was achieved on March 4, 2025 at 21:15 hours with a stable frequency of 49.69Hz. Lagos, March 6, 2025 – Some men in military uniform were alleged to have stormed the headquarters of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company in Lagos on Thursday morning. Sources said the men stormed the office, opposite MITV in Ikeja, Lagos, at about 7.00 am and manhandled some officials of the company. The invaders did not give reasons for their action, but some said the action was not unconnected with poor power supply.  (GBN)

Abuja, Jan. 30, 2025 – The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says its Tower T195 along the Ugwuaji-Makurdi 330 Kilo Volt transmission line was vandalised on Saturday.
