Abuja, May 2, 2023 – The House of Representatives has directed the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to suspend the planned disbursement of $700 million Cabotage Fund to shippers immediately. Onne (Rivers), April, 2, 2023 – Cargo clearance has been boosted at Onne Port by the acquisition of 16 new terminal trucks by the West Africa Container Terminal (WACT). WACT is owned and operated by APM Terminals which started commercial operation in Nigeria in 2006 It is the first Greenfield container terminal in Nigeria to be built under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Lagos, March 3, 2023 -The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Friday said 25 ships conveying petroleum products and other goods were expected at Lagos ports from March 3 to March 15. It listed the items as bulk sugar, frozen fish, bulk urea, bulk gypsum, butane gas, soya bean, bulk wheat, container and petrol. It said that seven ships waiting to berth at the ports with containers, jet fuel, automobile gasoline and fuel.
