Lagos, Aug. 9, 2023 -The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) says it has handed over the leased site at the Continental Shipyard Limited (CSL) of the Nigerian Ports Authority to technical partners, Melsmore. Lagos, Aug. 3, 2023 – The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has taken over areas leased to it by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) at the Continental Shipyard for the operations of modular floating dock. Lagos, Aug. 1, 2023 – The Nigerian Shippers Council says it is partnering with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission to establish a Consumer Protection Regime (CPR) in the shipping and port sector. Lagos, July 18, 2023 -The Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) generated N191.43 billion from its operations in the first half of the year 2023. NPA also remitted N55.7 billion to the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) of the Federation in the same period. The agency said it facilitated 1851 vessels with a combined Gross Registered Tonnage (GRT) of 57,870,083 during the period.
