Lagos, Jan. 8, 2025 -The National Association of Telecoms Subscribers (NATCOMS) has urged the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) not to approve any tariff hike as being demanded by telecom operators. 68% of world population connected to internet – ITU

Lagos, Jan. 3, 2025 – About 5.5 billion people in the world were connected to the Internet as of 2024, an increase of 227 million users over the figure in 2023.  The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) disclosed this in its latest publication on “Facts and Figures 2024”. NCC approves renewal of MTN/Ntel spectrum lease agreement

Lagos, Dec. 27, 2024 – The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has approved the renewal of MTN Nigeria spectrum lease agreement with Natcom Development and Investment (Ntel). Ntel is the successor to Nitel and is managed by Natcoms. Internet usage in Nigeria rises to 270,398.28 terabytes

Lagos, Dec. 24, 2024 – Internet usage in Nigeria has been rising steadily in the last one year, according to the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) The internet services are being provided by the four main mobile operators of MTN, Airtel, Globacom and 9mobile.
