Abuja, Feb. 16, 2023 – The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released results of its November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, its Registrar, announced this on Thursday in Minna. He said the 59,124 candidates that sat for the examination were made up of 31,316 boys and 27,808 girls. Abuja, Feb, 14, 2023 – President Muhammadu Buhari has called for the lifting of the blanket visa ban on Nigerians by the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE, had in October 2022, barred Nigerians from entering the country. President Buhari made the request while condoling with the President of the UAE, Mohamed bin Zayed, on the death of his mother-in-law. Oyo, Feb. 14, 2022 – Lasisi, Morenikeji, the longest serving palace aide to the late Alaafin of Oyo, popularly called “Baba Keji” is dead. Lasisi, who served in the palace for 77 years, died on Monday at the age of 120 years. He died 10 months after the death of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III whom he served for 51 years. Ilorin, Feb. 13, 2023  – The Kwara State Government has offered 50 per cent transport support to Kwara students returning home from tertiary institutions to observe the three-week break ahead of the elections. Lagos, Feb. 12, 2023 – The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has denied media reports that Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour party gave N2 billion to churches to mobilise  their member to vote for him. Lagos, Feb. 12, 2023 – Some pharmaceutical manufacturers have pledged to work with NAFDAC to attain  WHO Maturity Level 4 status and launch Nigeria into the league of Vaccines and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) producers in the world. Lagos, Feb. 12, 2023 – The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a priest, Nnodu Azuka, along with two others for attempting to export drugs to the United Arab Emirate. Nnodu is the Founder and General Overseer of Seraphic and Sabbath Assembly in Lagos.  Femi Babafemi, the Spokesman for the NDLEA, said in a statement on Sunday that the other suspects were Udezuka Udoka, a student of Emmanuel College of Theology in Samoda, Ibadan, and Oyoyo Obasi, their freight agent.
