Abuja, April 2, 2026 – President Bola Tinubu has appointed Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
He is to replace Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who recently resigned to participate in the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State.
The president has also renewed the tenure of Sule Abdulaziz as the Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for a second and final term.

on Information & Strategy, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Aliyu, the new PTDF helmsman, was until his new appointment, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education.
The statement said the renewal of Abdulaziz’s tenure following a comprehensive assessment of his performance and leadership of the nation’s transmission network..
Both appointments take immediate effect.
