TCN restores normal bulk power supply to Lagos

Abuja, March 18, 2025 – The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored normal bulk power supply to Eko and Ikeja Electricity Distribution companies in Lagos for onward distribution to their customers.

Ndidi Mbah, its Spokesman, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday..

The statement said the restoration followed the successful completion of repair works on a part of the 330kV transmission line between towers 420 to 422 of the Osogbo-Omotosho line which was completed at 8:55 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

It said the repair addressed a line snap, restored lost power and resumed normal bulk transmission, adding that load shedding caused by the line cut had been stopped.

The transmission company said it appreciated the understanding and cooperation of the Lagos State Government, Eko and Ikeja Electricity Distribution companies, and electricity consumers during the period of load shedding.    (GBN)
