NDLEA intercepts illicit drugs from passenger
Abuja, April 16, 2023 -The NDLEA has intercepted large consignments of illicit drugs from a passenger, Joshia Sunday, who was travelling on a Qatar Airlines flight via Doha to Oman. The drugs, which included tramadol, Rohypnol, ecstasy (designer drug) and cannabis hidden in winter jackets and bottles of body cream, were intercepted at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State. Mr Akinola George-Taylor has been appointed the substantive Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Bank. A statement by Ozena Utulu, the Group Head, Corporate Communications of the bank, on Sunday said this followed the approval of the bank’s board. Nigeria’s inflation rate rises to 22.04%
Abuja, April 15, 2023 – Nigeria’s inflation rate rose to 22.04 per cent in March 2023, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has reported. The figure is higher than the 21.91 per cent recorded in February 2023. The latest NBS report issued on Saturday said that food inflation rose to 24.45 per cent in March 2023 from 24.35 per cent in February 2023, while urban inflation rose to 23.07 per cent and rural inflation was 21.09 per cent. Abuja, April 15, 2023 -The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has lined up 200 electoral crime suspects in the 2023 general elections for prosecution.
