Abuja, April 15, 2023 -The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has lined up 200 electoral crime suspects in the 2023 general elections for prosecution. Kano, April, 14, 2023 -The Kano State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested more than 93 suspects for various crimes between January and March. Mr Adamu Salihu, the NSCDC state Commandant, disclosed this in Kano on Friday, saying the suspects were arrested for theft, vandalism and criminal breach of trust, among others. “Out of the 93 suspects, 29 were prosecuted before court of law, 57 suspects are under investigation and we secured seven convictions within the period,” he said. Lafiyawo (Gombe), April 14, 2023 – The Federal Road Safety (FRSC) recorded 24 deaths in 166 road accidents in Gombe State between January and March 2023. Mr Felix Theman, the Gombe Sector Commander of the FRSC, gave the statistics to journalists on Friday in Lafiyawo in Akko Local Government Area of the state.
