FG approves 5 banks for disbursement of Cabotage Fund

Lagos, Dec.11, 2022 – The federal Government has approved five banks as the primary lending institutions for the disbursement of Cabotage Fund. The banks are Union Bank, Zenith Bank, Polaris Bank, UBA and Jaiz Bank. DEC. 11, 2022 – President Mohammadu Buhari has approved the disbursement of the $350 million Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund. Muazu Sambo, the Minister of Transportation, announced the approval of the disbursement of the fund in Lagos on Saturday at the flag-off ceremony of the third phase of the Nigerian Seafarers Development Programme (NSDP). IMF and Ghana to reach staff-level agreement by Tuesday

NDIC resolves 248 complaints, recovers N8.3 billion to bank customers

Kano, Dec. 9, 2022 – The Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) successfully resolved 248 complaints and recovered over N8.3 billion to bank customers between January and November this year. Mr Bello Hassan, its Managing Director, said this at the NDIC Day at the Kano International Trade Fair in Kano on Thursday. He said that the highest of 190 complaints bordered on unauthorised withdrawals, 33 complaints were on  POS issues, while 25 complaints bordered on banks fees, charges and frauds.
