Abuja, Feb. 18, 2025 – Nigeria’s foreign reserve has risen above $40 billion.
Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN), said this during a meeting with Talal Al-Humond, Assistant Governor in Saudi Central Bank, on the sidelines of the just concluded Inaugural Conference on Emerging Market Economies in Riyadh.
Cardoso said this was the first time the reserve would reach such threshold in three years.
He attributed the steady rise of the reserve to recent reform carried out by the apex bank. (GBN)
