Lagos, July 19, 2025 – The Naira appreciated slightly against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Friday, closing at N1,535 to the dollar.
The naira was N1,536 to the dollar in the market on Thursday.
The slight appreciation of the naira on Friday ended its steady slide against the dollar in the last two weeks which dealers attributed to increasing demand for foreign exchange.
The highest daily quote at the market on Friday was N1,536.50 to the dollar, while the lowest was N1,528.
Meanwhile, the currency is still being traded between N1,540 and N1545 to the dollar at the black market in Lagos.
