Lagos, Jan. 27, 2026 – The Nigerian currency, the Naira, appreciated at the official foreign market on Monday, closing at N1,416.50 to the dollar.
The currency had closed at N1,421.90 to the dollar at the market last Friday.
Bid rates quoted by dealers at the market on Monday ranged between N1,415.10 and N1,422.50 to the dollar.
Meanwhile, the naira is being traded at the black market in Lagos at between N1,483 and N1,488 to the dollar.
