Lagos, July 22, 2026 – Femi Otedola, the Chairman of FirstHoldCo, on Wednesday bought additional 706.1 million shares in the group to take his stake to 21.95 per cent.
The new shares have increased the number of his shares in the group from 9.28 billion to 9.99 billion shares.
The shares were purchased through Calvados Global Services Limited, his special purpose vehicle.
Otedola has been increasing his stake steadily in First HoldCo since 2021 when he became its largest shareholder.
In June 2026, 672.9 million additional shares valued at N29.6 billion in June 2026 during the bank’s private placement.
