Lagos, May 5, 2023 – The Alaba International Market in Lagos was razed by a fire on Friday with goods worth millions of naira burnt in the inferno. Eyewitnesses said the fire started from a gas shop where cylinders were stored before spreading to other parts of the market. Lagos, May 5, 2023 – The Old Bailey court in London has sentenced Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, to nine years and eight months in prison for organ trafficking plot. Ekweremadu, who was convicted for organ harvesting by the court last month , was sentenced on Friday.
