Election Surveillance: FG deploys military aircraft in Ebonyi

Abakaliki, Feb. 24, 2023 – The Nigerian Airforce has deployed military aircraft in Ebonyi State to assist security agencies in surveillance activities during the general elections.  Governor David Umahi said this in Abakaliki on Friday after a Security Council meeting. He said the security agencies were on ground to secure the voters, electoral officers and materials. Umahi said the deployment of the aircraft was forestall any breakdown of law and order during and after the general elections. (GBN)

29 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in 6 states – NCDC

Lagos, Jan. 15, 2023 – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has confirmed 29 new cases of COVID-19 in six states between January 7 and 13, 2023.
