FG will save $2.5bn for every 1m vehicles converted to CNG – official

NCC temporarily suspends issuance of licences to operators

Abuja, May 17, 2024 – The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has announced a temporary suspension of three categories of licences issued to different operators in the industry. Those affected are the Mobile Virtual Network Operator Licence, Interconnect Exchange Licence, and Value Added Service Aggregator Licence. A virtual operator is a company that does not own a mobile spectrum licence, but sells mobile services under its brand name using the network of a licensed mobile operator. NCC warns Nigerians against buying pre-registered SIM cards

Abuja, May 16, 2024 – The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has warned Nigerians on the dangers of  buying pre-registered SIM cards. The Commission said the practice is illegal and could lead to severe consequences, including imprisonment. It said individuals using these SIM cards might inadvertently become implicated in crimes such as identity theft, financial fraud, kidnapping, and armed robbery. Nigeria signs MoU with Nokia to train Nigerians on 4G/ 5G technologies

Abuja, May 10, 2024 – Nokia Nigeria is to set up a fully functional 5G/4G test laboratory in Nigeria leveraging their latest radio and transmission technologies.
