CBN directs banks to pay naira notes across the counter

Abuja, Feb. 2, 2023 – The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed banks to start paying the new naira notes across the counter. The apex bank said, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, that the directive was to reduce queues around ATMs across the country.  Abuja, Feb. 1, 2023 – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it will raid outlets of racketeers of new notes in commercial cities.
