Lagos, July 31, 2023 – Gov.Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has reduced fares in Lagos public buses by 50 percent from Wednesday.
He also planned a 25 percent cut in fares of yellow bus fares being managed by the Parks Management Committee.
Jubril Gawat, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on New Media, announced this via Twitter.
He wrote: “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced Palliatives to cushion the effect of the Fuel subsidy removal:
“- 50% reduction on Lagos Buses from Wednesday.
– 25% reduction in Yellow buses fees which will be announced officially by their body.” (GBN)
