Abuja, Dec. 14, 2022 – The Presidency has denied knowledge of any missing N89 trillion stamp duty fund leveled against some key officials of the federal government. Doha, Dec, 13, 2022 (Qatar News Agency/GBN) – Qatar posted a budget surplus of 30 billion Qatari riyals ($8.2 billion) for the third quarter of 2022, the Finance Ministry announced Tuesday. In its briefing on the actual data of Qatar’s budget in the third quarter of 2022, the ministry said that the total revenues for this quarter amounted to 81.8 billion riyals of which 76.3 billion riyals were oil and gas revenues, while non-oil revenues were estimated at 5.5 billion riyals. Cash withdrawal: Falana, PoS operators to sue CBN
Lagos, Dec. 13, 2022 – Mr Femi Falana, a Lagos-based lawyer, and operators of PoS (Point-of-Sale) machines, have threatened to sue the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) if it fails to withdraw its policy on limited cash withdrawal . The CBN introduced a new policy which fixed weekly cash withdrawal limit for an individual at N100,000 and N500,00 for a corporate entity. Ghana to borrow $3bn form IMF
