CBN revises policy on cash withdrawal
Lagos, Dec. 22, 2022 – The Central Bank of Nigeria has bowed to pressure from the National Assembly to revise its cash withdrawal limits policy. In a circular on Wednesday signed its Director of Banking Supervision, Haruna Mustafa, the CBN said it had reviewed upwards the maximum weekly limit for cash withdrawal across all channels by individuals and corporate organisations to N500,000 and N5 million, respectively. Senate gives interior ministry 24hrs to defend N700m expenditure
Abuja, Dec. 22, 2022 -The Senate on Wednesday gave the Ministry of Interior 24 hours to defend the N700 million collected from Service Wide Votes to monitor Ondo and Edo governorship elections. The money was released in two batches of N400 million for Ondo governorship election and N300 million for Edo governorship election. IPOB members killed in joint operation of security agencies
