Akure, Feb. 7, 2026 – The Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) has commenced a coordinated street-by-street clean-up, inspection, and corrective exercise on dilapidated signate structures across Ondo State from Friday, Feb. 6th, 2026.
Yòmí Oyékàn, the Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Signage and Advertisement, announced this in a statement at the weekend.
He said the action was in line with the maintenance notice issued earlier to stakeholders.
The statement said during the exercise, OSSAA technical team would not only identify unsafe, defaced, and displaced advertisement structures, but would also carry out immediate repairs and fixes on some these structures affected by the recent rainstorm.
It said the exercise was aimed at forestalling potential hazards and restore order where urgent intervention is required.
“The ongoing operation is aimed at protecting lives and property, improving environmental aesthetics, and enforcing compliance with extant regulations.
“Advertisers are again urged to promptly maintain their installations to avoid sealing, removal, or other enforcement measures,” the statement said.
