Lagos, Oct. 15, 2025 – The Nigeran currency, the Naira, depreciated further at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday, closing at N1,467.01 to the dollar.
The naira exchange rate at the market on Monday was N1,460 to the dollar.
Bid rates quoted by dealers on Tuesday ranged from N1,457 to N1,474 to the dollar.
Dealers attributed the steady depreciation of the naira in the market in the last two days to increasing demand for dollar.
Meanwhile, the currency was traded at the black market in Lagos on Tuesday at between N1,495 and N1,500 to the dollar.
