Lagos, Jan. 23, 2026 – The Nigerian currency, the Naira, appreciated at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, closing at N1,421.50 to the dollar.
The naira gained N15 against the dollar on Thursday to appreciate from N1,423 which it closed on Wednesday.
Bid rates offered by dealers at the market on Thursday ranged from N1,421 to N1,423.50 to the dollar.
Meanwhile, the naira is being exchanged at the black market in Lagos between N1,490 and N1,495 to the dollar.
