Lagos, July 15, 2025 – The Nigerian currency, Naira, appreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, closing at N1,528.65 to the dollar.
It closed at N1,532 to the dollar at the market on Friday.
The highest quoted rate to the dollar at the market on Monday was N1,532 to the dollar, while the lowest was N1,515 to the dollar.
Dealers attributed the naira appreciation at the market on Monday to the delayed reaction to the $50 million injected into the market by the Central Bank of Nigeria last week to support the naira.
Meanwhile, the naira was still exchanged at between N1,540 and N1,1545 to the dollar at the black market on Monday.
