Abuja, Sept. 18, 2023 – The meeting held between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Monday on palliatives ended in deadlock as there was no agreement between the two parties.
There was no resolution or communique issued at the end of the meeting.
Simon Lalong, the Minister of Labour and Employment, had called the meeting in furtherance of talks earlier held between the two parties.
The meeting was particularly to checkmate plans by the union to go strike due to the failure of federal government to meet its obligations, as promised, on the removal of petrol subsidy. (GBN)
