Ibadan, Jan. 30, 2025 – The Federal Government has donated N30 million to the family of late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, the designer of Nigeria’s national flag.
The donation was presented to the family by Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), and Olukemi Afolayan, the Oyo State Director of NOA.
Issa-Onilu said the gesture was not to pay for the services of the late legend, but to support his family in appreciation of his contributions to the country.
PA Akinkunmi died in poverty at the age of 87 which prompted President Bola Tinubu to promise to give financial support to the family. (GBN)
