Enugu, April 6, 2023 – The All Progressives Congress in Enugu State on Thursday expelled a former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, and four other chieftains from the party.
Other expelled are former Enugu Governor Sullivan Chime, former Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Barr Eugene Odo, Director General, Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, and one Mrs Flavour Eze.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, was suspended.
Mr Robert Ngwu, the State Secretary of the party, announced the development after the State Executive Council in Enugu.
He said the action was recommended by the disciplinary committee and was adopted by the State Executive Committe.
The affected party chieftains were allegedly found guilty of anti-party activities during the last elections.
APC has never won any elective position in the state. (GBN)
