Abuja, Feb. 15, 2024 – Globacom, one of the telecom operators in Nigeria, has commended President Bola Tinubu for providing the opportunity for supervised reconciliation of the interconnect fee dispute between it and MTN, another service provider.
It said the reconciliation, supervised by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the industry regulator, led to the agreement reached on the disputed figures.
Globacom said it had requested for the commencement of the reconciliation exercise following what it considered a bogus claim.
It said that after the reconciliation, it was discovered that the actual figure in dispute was far less than what was earlier claimed.
Globacom thanked the President and NCC for their neutral and reconciliatory role in the dispute which led to the resolution of the actual fee in question. (GBN)
