Customs command in Ogun generates N4bn revenue, uncovers 4 illegal factories

Abeokuta, Feb. 6, 2025 – The Ogun II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service in Ogun generated ₦4.03 billion revenue in January 2025.

The revenue represented 104% increase over the ₦2.14 billion realized during the same period in 2024.

Olusola Alade, the Controller of the Command, disclosed this at a press conference in Abeokuta on Thursday.

He said the command generated a total revenue of ₦32.46 billion in 2024 which he attributed to professionalism, diligence, and dedication of officers.

Alade said the renewed determination of the command had been yielding impressive results with the discovery of four illegal factories working without necessary licenses and permits in Ota, Ogun State.

The controller listed the factories as Evita Moore, Lekan Industries, Scarlet Eagle Ltd, and IBK Ventures.

He said the companies had since been brought under excise control.
