China’s external reserves rise to $3.4trn

Beijing, Feb. 9, 2026 – China’s total foreign exchange reserves made $3.3991 trillion at the end of last January, marking an increase of $41.2 billion, or 1.23 percent, compared to the end of December last year.

The State Administration of Foreign Exchange explained in a statement that the U.S. dollar index fell last January, while the prices of major global financial assets generally rose, influenced by fiscal and monetary policies and market expectations in major economies.          (SABA- Yemen News Agency)
