Abuja, Dec. 2, 2024 – Dasuki Arabi, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), on Monday called for multi-stakeholder collaboration in the fight against corruption in the country.
He made the call in Abuja during a Workshop on Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACs).
He advised all stakeholders to collaborate for the successful implementation of the anti-corruption strategy.
“The success of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy relies on the collective effort of all sectors of society, including state governments and the private sector.
“We must collaborate to strengthen institutions, improve transparency, and promote accountability at all levels of governance.
“Through our governance reforms initiatives, we are working closely with state governments to replicate successful reforms at the federal level, particularly in areas such as public financial management and the implementation of the National Ethics and Integrity Policy.”
Arabi also stressed the role of the private sector in the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures and called for greater collaboration with businesses to create a culture of integrity and transparency in both public and private institutions.
Arabi urged participants to actively contribute to the discussions, share their insights, and collaborate in achieving the overarching goal of strengthening the country’s anti-corruption framework.
He stressed that the success of NACs would ultimately depend on the dedication of all stakeholders in tackling corruption, improving governance, and promoting sustainable economic growth. (GBN)
