Lagos, Sept. 26, 2023 – The Lagos State Government is to begin enquiries into the death Mohbad on Friday, Sept 29 at the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos.
A letter addressed to Falana and Falana Chambers dated Sept 26 and signed by a coroner, Magistrate Taofikat Shotobi, gave the indication.
The letter was probably in response to the chamber’s request for an inquest into the death of the young musician.
The chamber had requested for the inquest to unravel the circumstances surrounding the “very tragic” death of Mohbad.
In the reply, the coroner said she had the directives of the Chief Coroner of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Mojisola Dada, to convoke an inquest pursuant to the extant provisions of Sections 14 and 15 of the Coroner’s System Law of Lagos State, Cap C15, Laws of Lagos State 2015.
Mohbad, who lived in the Ikorodu, died on Sept. 12. (GBN)
