Abuja, July 19, 2023 – The House of Representatives has confirmed the appointment of the service chiefs.
The House made the confirmation on Wednesday after considering the report of an Ad-hoc Committee which comprised all the principal officers of the House.
The House confirmed Maj-Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, Maj.-Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Adm. Emmanuel lkechukwu Ogalla as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff.
The House Committee, had on Monday, screened the four appointees following the request of the President.
The Senate, had earlier, cleared the appointees who will now be decorated with the new rank by the President. (GBN)
