Fintiri wins Adamawa governorship election

Yola, April 18, 2023 – INEC has declared Ahmadu Fintiri, the incumbent Gov. of Adamawa State and PDP Candidate winner of the governorship election in the state.

Fintiri scored 430,869 votes to defeat the candidate of the APC, Aishatu Dahiru Binani, who polled 398,788 votes.

Total number of registered voters for the supplementary voters stood at 42,989, while the number of accredited voters was 16,423.

The returning officer, Mohammed Mele, announced that a total of 2,196,566 people registered for the election, while 876,387 were accredited to vote in the entire election.

He said that “by the power conferred on him and having satisfied the provision of law, Fintiri has been declared the winner and returned elected.” (GBN).
