Lagos, April 17, 2023 – Barring any change of decision, all airports in the country are to be shut against flights and ancillary services from Monday morning as aviation workers embark on two-day warning strike.
The unions in the aviation sector have decided to embark on a two-day warning strike from Monday to Tuesday to press home their demands for improved welfare.
The demands include the implementation of the new salary structure and stoppage of planned demolition of Lagos offices of the aviation agencies.
The unions, in a circular at the weekend, said they would embark on full-fledged strike if their demands were not met after the expiration of the two-day warning strike on Tuesday.
They said all the offices at the airports would be put under lock and key and ancillary services would also be affected during the period of the warning strike. (GBN)
