Abuja, Feb. 23, 2023 – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has deployed its operatives to all the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the Saturday’s elections.

Wilson Uwujaren, the Spokesman for the EFCC, said this in a statement on Wednesday.

He said that apart from the teams deployed across the states, the EFCC had also released ‘incidents’ reporting hotlines from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Uwujaren said that the moves were to ensure the integrity of Feb. 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He said that Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chief Executive of EFCC, had advised all operatives to be conscious of the interest of the nation and exhibit high sense of professionalism.

He said that Bawa also advised them to report any case of vote-buying or selling or evidence of financial malpractices designed to compromise the electoral outcome. (GBN)
