Ibadan, Oct. 7, 2025 – Some members under the aegis of the National Association of Oduduwa Students, the Coalition of Yoruba Students and the Yoruba Movement on Tuesday held a solidarity rally in support of Dangote Refinery in its crisis with PENGASSAN.
The rally was held in the morning at the Iwo Road Roundabout at the Ibadan end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The student, who wore T shirts with “Don’t Kill Dangote Refinery” emblazoned on it, marched peacefully round the adjoining streets carrying placards with different inscriptions like “Don’t Kill Dangote Refinery”, #EndPENGASSAN and #EndDAPPMAN”.
Their leader, Olalere Adetunji, said the rally was held in support of Dangote Refinery in its fight against attempts by some interest groups who are bent on sabotaging and destroying the refinery.
They commended the federal government for waging into the crisis and urged it to see to the end of the face-off in the interest of the economy.
