Abuja, Jan. 28, 2023 – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the period for the collection of PVCs by additional one week to now end on February 5, 2023.
INEC announced this on Saturday after a meeting of Resident Independent Electoral Commissioners in the states.
“The ongoing collection of PVCs nationwide will, therefore, continue and end on 5th February 2023.
“This is the second time the commission is extending PVCs collection and this will be the last extension for the exercise
“Collection period has been further extended by additional period of two hours and will start at 9am and end up at 5pm daily including Saturdays and Sundays.
‘Those who engaged in double or multiple registration should not bother visiting any of the commission’s offices as the commission did not print their PVCs,’’ it said.
INEC promised to continue to act on all reported cases of sharp practices. (GBN)
