Port Harcourt, Nov. 26, 2024 – The Port Harcourt Refinery has finally commenced operation on Tuesday morning.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) confirmed the commencement of operation in the company on Tuesday after many months of the scheduled take-date promised by President Bola Tinubu.
Femi Soneye, the Chief Spokesman for the NNPCL, confirmed the start of production by the company.
He said the refinery kicked off with 60 percent capacity of installed capacity and would be processing 60,000 barrels per day of crude.
The refinery has capacity to produce 250,000 barrels per day. (GBN)
